Who Am I?
I want to lead by example for my children on how to live your values and give them a solid foundation of love from which to launch. I want to raise children who are compassionate warriors.

I want my friends to know that they can count on me to show up and to have reciprocity so there's space for vulnerability and authenticity in the relationship.

I want to live my belief that we are all in this together, and contribute accordingly. I want to be an engaged citizen.

I want to be a life-long student always learning from people and experiences. I want to build a career where I am able to positively impact the world around me. I want to be a whole and authentic person who cultivates varied interests.

I want to be intentional in my choices, like I did in in coming out, partnering ,fostering, moving neighborhoods- that have improved my life and allowed me to live more authentically.

My personal mission statement is to live life in an authentic and respectful manner valuing self-mastery and quality relationships as the foundation for meaningful life.
My Approach...To Life
Life Through The Lens of Privilege
I am a white, middle class, graduate educated woman in America. As a result, I have a lot of privilege and it's important for me to acknowledge the ways in which my privilege effects the way I move through the world. Our society was not built on equal foundations. Ownership of some; women, children, people of color- profoundly impacts human interaction and opportunity today. Privilege permeates everything in society form top to bottom. From our institutions to our legislation to our community relationships. Gender, sexuality, race, these are all social constructs, and I want to be a person that challenges any construct that limits people in their ability to fulfill their potential.
Relationships as the Fabric of My Life
It is my desire to use the power of human relationships developed during the course of my life to empower individuals to reach their full potential.

In my personal life, I talk a lot about the “village” around me that is made up of family and close friends. In my village, we are all interdependent and will succeed or fail based on how willing we are to give and receive support.

I've spent the last 15 years building a family with my wife Heather in a non-traditional, but beautiful way. Currently our household is made up of 3 rowdy children -1 by birth and 2 trans-racial adoptees- 1 cat, 1 chubby chihuahua, 1 golden doodle, and 1 wild rescue dog.

For the record, parenting is one of the coolest and most life-altering things I've ever done.
